Mike Tyson's Punch Out (Nintendo NES)
Float like a butterfly. Button mash like a maniac.
Before there was a final boss named Sephiroth, before Bowser was stealing princesses, there was Iron Mike — and he was waiting at the top of the NES mountain to knock your 8-bit block off. Released in 1987, Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! is one of the most iconic and challenging games on the NES, starring Little Mac, a pint-sized underdog from the Bronx, fighting his way through Glass Joe, King Hippo, Bald Bull, and finally... the champ himself: Mike freakin’ Tyson.
This is the original Tyson version — not the later “Punch-Out!! featuring Mr. Dream.” And if you know the difference, you already know this cart is a grail.
